When a person is issued a Platte City Municipal Court ticket, the ticket constitutes a summons to appear in Platte City Municipal Court at the Platte City Police Department. This is a courtesy summons, and not an arrest, and the court depends on the defendant to appear.
If the defendant does not appear on the date shown on the summons or otherwise dispose of the case as described below, then a warrant will be issued for the defendant`s arrest. In addition, the court will notify the Department of Revenue of the defendant`s failure to appear and his or her driver`s license will be suspended.
Court is held at 900 Fourth Street. Located at the corner of 92 Highway (Branch Street) and Fourth Street.
