The Platte City Civic Center is located in the former Platte City High School Building at 308 Zed Martin Street at the southeast corner of Branch Street/Mo Rt 92 and 4th Street.
The building is a multipurpose facility which houses the Platte City Municipal Court, the Parks and Recreation Department Administrative Offices and the Platte County Historical Society Archives.
The former gym and cafeteria area are available for public rent. The facility is often used for Youth Sports, Benefit Dances, Family Reunions, Wedding Receptions and other small gatherings.
Alcohol use is not permitted at the Civic Center.

The Board of Aldermen may at their discretion waive rental fee for use of the facility by other government agencies and not-for-profit organizations (request must be made in writing 60 days prior to proposed event).

There is a reservation policy, stating that reservations are taken on a first come, first served basis. The Civic Center can be reserved by contacting City Hall at (816) 858-3046.
Persons or Groups using the facility should review the Reservation Policy, Facilities Use License/Agreement and Cancellation Policy.
